Make the most of your ski vacation
Family ski trips are special, and they take planning. When kids show up at a ski school for the first time, they often spend the first day or two just getting comfortable. A few lessons at home change that. Kids who have already practiced:
- know how ski boots and skis feel
- can balance, slow down and stop
- move up faster in ski school at the resort
- enjoy the mountain more, and so do their parents
Private lessons for children from age 3
Every lesson is private, with an instructor beside your child the entire time. The pace is set by your child, not by a group.
- 1 participant: 60-minute lesson, $135
- 2 participants: 90-minute lesson, $200 (great for siblings at a similar level, in the same sport)
- 4- and 8-lesson packages, valid for 3 months, ideal for steady practice in the weeks before a trip
Kids start on our beginner ski and snowboard simulator. Details are on Pricing & Booking.

Ski or snowboard?
Younger kids usually start with skiing. Older kids and teens often want to try snowboarding, and many ski families have one child who wants to ride. We teach both. See snowboard lessons and ski lessons.
Parents can train too
If you’re an experienced skier, use our advanced ski simulator for independent training while you’re at the studio. If it’s been a while, a private lesson is a quick way to feel confident again. Read more about ski trip preparation.
A simple plan before your trip
- 6 to 8 weeks before: book a 4- or 8-lesson package for each child who is new to skiing.
- 2 to 3 weeks before: experienced family members book a few training sessions.
- The week before: one final lesson to build confidence.
Getting kids comfortable in ski boots
For many young children, the hardest part of a first ski day isn’t skiing. It’s the boots. Ski boots are heavy and stiff, and walking in them feels strange. That’s why practicing at home makes such a difference:
- your child gets used to the feel of ski boots in a warm, calm space
- they learn to stand, balance and slide before they face snow, cold and crowds
- they build confidence step by step, with an instructor who keeps it fun
- by the time you reach the resort, boots and skis feel familiar, not scary
Tip: if your kids already have their own ski boots, bring them to the studio so they can get used to the exact pair they’ll wear on the mountain.
